Lewis Learning Communities
|
Lewis Learning Communities are peer-learning cohorts for clergy and lay leaders from selected congregations that have demonstrated a serious commitment to growing their congregation to a new level of worship attendance and professions of faith. The Lewis Learning Community initiative is built on the philosophy of "learning while doing" through facilitated action learning. The goal is to develop leaders with the heart and skill to grow their churches.
In 2009, the Lewis Center is creating a number of these learning communities in selected regions throughout the country. Congregations invited to participate in a Lewis Learning Community will select teams of 5 to 7 leaders to come together regularly with teams from other churches with potential for growth. Each learning community will meet a total of 8 times beginning in the Fall of 2009 and continuing through early 2011.
