An Education Event for Lay and Clergy Leaders

Workshops
Registrants will receive an e-mail message before March 20
with a preference form for selecting workshop topics.

Moving People from 1st Time Givers to Joyful Generosity
Generous stewards normally do not start out that way.  Most have moved there as they have grown in discipleship.  Learn methods to help people make their first gift, become regular givers, and grow to tithing and beyond.

Your Church's Thank You System
Saying  "thank you" is one of the most effective, least expensive, and most neglected practices among churches.  Learn how to develop appropriate and regular ways to show thanks to contributors.

Resources You Can Use to Offer Personal Financial Planning in Your Church
Churches regularly ask members to help with the church's financial situation.  When members are also helped to think through their financial situation from a faith perspective, they are more generous in their church giving.  Learn what resources are available for you to use in your church for this purpose and the pros and cons of each.

Stewardship Education in Worship
Worship is the most consistent opportunity to impact church members.  Learn how to infuse worship with stewardship education in ways that add to the worship experience and to the formation of generous saints.

What Laity Wish Their Pastors Knew about Economic Life
(a clergy workshop)
Pastors often do not have knowledge and experience in the economic life of the community in which most members are engaged daily. Faithful laity long for pastors who understand the world in which they live and the challenges and opportunities they face in earning money from which the church asks them to give.

The registration deadline is Monday, March 15.
