CEU Event for Provisional Clergy
Baltimore-Washington Conference

Fruitful Ministry

Studies show that clergy morale is improved when clergy feel they are accomplishing something. Yet perhaps in no other endeavor are results so hard to measure. Yet every time we preach, teach, offer a program, or begin a service ministry, we should have a purpose in mind. That is the “fruit” we are seeking. This workshop will give you tools you can use immediately to enhance fruitfulness. Dr. Lovett H. Weems, Jr., will lead the workshop.

Dr. Lovett H. Weems, Jr. will lead the workshop on "Fruitful Ministry." Dr. Weems is Distinguished Professor of Church Leadership and Director of the Lewis Center for Church Leadership at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. He is the author of Take the Next Step: Leading Lasting Change in the Church; Leadership in the Wesleyan Spirit; Church Leadership: Vision, Team, Culture, and Integrity; and John Wesley’s Message Today. He is also an editor of the online newsletter, Leading Ideas.

This workshop is offered by the Lewis Center for Church Leadership as part of a three-year cycle of customized continuing education offerings for provisional clergy in the Baltimore-Washington Conference on subjects selected in consultation with provisional clergy, Board of Ordained Ministry members, and clergy mentors. The cost is $100 which includes materials and lunch.
